Project Examples
Our granting is focused on local churches in the largest urban centers of the world and on three broad areas of ministry:
Outreach – Projects whose purpose is sharing the gospel of Jesus Christ. Outreach projects include church planting, social outreaches, youth programs, and cross-cultural missions.
Christian Fellowship Go to the Nations received a three-year grant ($4,000, $3,000, $2,000) matching church support to plant a church in the Parque Ney Braga area of Londrina, Brazil.
Rohini Pentecostal Church of God received a four-year grant ($3,000, $2,200, $1,500) matching church support to start a pre-school and adult education center in New Delhi, India.
Church The Way of Righteous was awarded a three-year grant ($6,000, $4,000, $3,000) matching church support for an outreach through Alpha courses in Warsaw, Poland.
Ching Mei Baptist Church was awarded at three-year grant ($6,500, $3,000, $2,000) matching church support to establish an artistic ministry among children and young people in Taipai, Taiwan.
Empowerment – Projects that give hope and dignity to disadvantaged Christians through income generation. Mustard Seed Foundation defines empowerment as giving decision-making power to the poor. Revolving loan funds created for church members to start small businesses and micro-enterprise programs are examples of typical empowerment projects.
New Life in Christ Ministries was awarded a three-year grant ($2,500, $3,000, $5,000) matching church support to start a church-based revolving loan fund in Kampala, Uganda.
Proclaiming the Good News Ministry received a two-year grant ($3,000, $2,500) matching church support to establish a revolving loan fund for the church members in Cebu (Metro Manila), Philippines.
Discipleship - Projects that educate and equip Christians to better engage in ministry. Short-term non-formal education programs are typical discipleship projects.
The Grain of Wheat Foundation received a one-year grant ($5,000) matching church support to enable Iraqi church leaders to attend a children’s ministry conference in Amman, Jordan.
Great Commission Church Miami was awarded a three-year grant ($5,000, $3,500, $2,500) to start a new cell group ministry in Miami, Florida, USA.
