Project Examples

Our granting is focused on local churches in the largest urban centers of the world and on three broad areas of ministry:

Outreach – Projects whose purpose is sharing the gospel of Jesus Christ. Outreach projects include church planting, social outreaches, youth programs, and cross-cultural missions.

Khulna Baptist Church in Khulna, Bangladesh was awarded $3,500 matching church support to establish an outreach ministry through computer education.

Trinity Grace Church Manhattan in New York City, USA was awarded $20,000 matching church support to plant a new church in the Park Slope neighborhood of Brooklyn.

Husby Church in Stockholm, Sweden was awarded $8,000 matching church support to start a program for immigrant youth.

Discipleship – Projects that educate and equip Christians to better engage in ministry. Short-term non-formal education programs are typical discipleship projects.

St. Sarkis Armenian Apostolic Church was awarded $5,525 matching church support to start an Alpha program in Yerevan, Armenia.

Kairos Church in Guatemala City, Guatemala was awarded $3,000 matching church support to establish a training program for youth and young adults.

Empowerment – Projects that give hope and dignity to disadvantaged Christians through income generation. Mustard Seed Foundation defines empowerment as giving decision-making power to the poor. Revolving loan funds created for church members to start small businesses and micro-enterprise programs are examples of typical empowerment projects.

Spring Hill Church was awarded $4,000 matching church support to start a revolving loan fund for church members in the Korogocho slums of Nairobi, Kenya.
